Founded in 1991, the Republican Liberty Caucus works to advance the principles of individual rights, limited government, and free enterprise within the Republican Party and throughout the United States.
The RLC operates a Political Action Committee, called RLC-USA PAC, to help elect candidates who stand strongly for these three principles. The Liberty Compact is a pledge inspired by the words of the late Sen. Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) in his book, "Conscience of a Conservative," which promotes the belief that government is more often the problem, not the solution. Signers will be given preferential consideration for RLC candidate support and RLC-USA PAC financial assistance:

I pledge to the citizens of this State, and to the American people, that as their elected representative I will work to: Restore liberty, not restrict it; Shrink government, not expand it; Reduce taxes, not raise them; Abolish programs, not create them; Promote the freedom and independence of citizens, not the interference of government in their lives; and Observe the limited, enumerated powers of our Constitution, not ignore them.

RLC-USA PAC can accept contributions from individuals or charitable foundations up to $5,000. Donations are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. We have many different levels of giving, including our most popular – no-FEC-reporting level of $16.50 per month. The annual total comes in just under the reporting threshold of $200, so you can support Liberty candidates without giving the FEC your employer and occupation.
