Melbourne – the National Board of the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC) has voted to endorse Rob Maness in his race for U.S. Senate from the state of Louisiana. Maness seeks to fill the seat held by Sen. David Vitter, who is retiring.

The son of Lennie and Master Sergeant (Air Force) Billy Maness, Rob Maness voluntarily joined the Air Force after high school and rose to the rank of Colonel. He retired in 2011 after 32 years. He and his wife Candy have five children, three of whom currently serve in the military.
Rob completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Tampa and holds Masters degrees from Harvard University’s Kennedy School, the Air Command and Staff College, and the US College of Naval Warfare.

“Col. Rob Maness has stood tirelessly for liberty in his fight for the U.S. Senate. There is no better fit than Maness, he stands in staunch opposition to the draconian Federal Reserve system and has the resources needed to win. We wholeheartedly support his campaign and ask all of our members to help him win,” said RLC Chairman Matt Nye.

Mr. Maness is a founding Board member of the Military Advocacy Project of Louisiana, Inc. He is a member of the St. Tammany Parish Republican Party Executive Committee, and serves as President of his local chapter of the Military Officer’s Association of America. He’s a Life Member of the NRA, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the Military Officer’s Association of America. Mr. Maness has been endorsed by LA Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, Dr. Ben Carson and several UFC legends, including Chael Sonnen.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Republican Liberty Caucus. The RLC is known for its unwavering commitment to liberty and there are few groups in the liberty movement that hold more sway than they do. As a United States Senator, my priority will always be to defend the Constitution and expand individual liberty at every turn possible. I will be a consistent voice for fiscal restraint, monetary reform and our civil liberties.”
